Why Practice Yin Yoga?

As our lives grow increasingly busy, a yin yoga practice is needed now more than ever for many people. Yin yoga works by passively stretching connective tissue around the joints (mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum, and spine) and is needed to balance more active types (yang styles) of exercise and yoga. It includes variations of seated and supine poses usually held for 3 to 5 minutes, to access deeper layers of fascia.
